The Walking Dead returned on October 13th 2013 with an epic Season 4 premiere. The episode is entitled '30 Days Without an Accident.'
The episode is about the group and how they have adapted to a better life in the prison and how they have forgotten about the outside world. A group is heading out to Big Spot to try and find some more supplies while Rick goes out hunting in the woods.
While Rick is out hunting he finds a woman called Clara who wants to join Ricks group but will only allow her and her husband to join when he has asked them questions and he sees what's sort of people they are. When he gets to her camp he discovers that there is no one here apart from her. She then runs to him in attempt to kill him. He avoids getting killed and she stabs herself.
While at Big Spot things start going very bad indeed. Bob goes down an aisle where he sees alcohol and he grabs it, after thinking better of it he puts it back only making the shelves drop on him and causing massive chaos. The noise attract the zombies on the roof and they start falling through the roof. They deal with the situation but they lose Zach who gets bitten and then devoured by a zombie who was hiding under the shelves that fell upon Bob. The rest of the group get out safe and sound.
At the end of the episode Patrick, newcomer has fallen very ill and he goes down to the shower area where he then falls unconscious and then dies. Suddenly he turns into a zombie!
The episode starred Andrew Lincoln playing the main character Rick Grimes. The other main actors are Steven Yeun (as Glenn Rhee), Chandler Riggs (as Carl Grimes), Norman Reedus (as Daryl Dixon), Lauren Cohan (as Maggie Greene) and Danai Gurira (as Michonne). This season AMC added some of the current cast to the main cast. Melissa McBride who plays the timid Carol and then we have Hershel Greene, the former farmer played by Scott Wilson. Other additions to the main cast are Chad L. Coleman as Tyresse, Sonequa Martin-Green as Sasha and Emily Kinney as Beth Greene.
We have new character Bob Stookey played by Lawrence Gillard Jr. who also joined the main cast of the series. This episode we where joined by the returning recurring character Karen (played by Melissa Ponzio). This season she is playing the new love interest to Tyreese.
In this episode we were joined by new recurring co-stars. One of the characters is called Patrick (played by Vincent Martella), who unfortunately died in the episode and is set to effect next episode. Other cast members are Zach (played by Kyle Gallner), who is the short-term love interest to Beth Greene and finally we have Clara (played by Kerry Condon).
